High pressure centered over the Florida peninsula will shift
eastward on Thursday ahead of a slow moving cold front that will
push across our local waters on Friday morning, accompanied by
scattered showers. West southwesterly winds will increase ahead
of this front on Thursday night, followed by strengthening
northerly winds on Friday afternoon in the wake of this frontal
passage as arctic high pressure expands towards the southeastern
seaboard. Small Craft Advisory conditions will develop shortly
after the cold frontal passage and will continue near shore
through at least Saturday night. Small Craft Advisory conditions
are expected to persist throughout the weekend offshore. High
pressure will then build directly over our waters early next week,
resulting in diminishing winds and gradually subsiding seas.
